But living in Australia this celebration is enjoyably celebrated by Australia. Easter is a Christian feast and holiday celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ( Peace be upon Him) on the third day after his crucifixion at Calvary as described in the New Testament. So the Friday before that is the day Jesus( Peace be upon Him) died.
Since Australia is a secular country, i cant really see the celebration religiously. What i mean here are television programs or church events. However there is one thing Australian do celebrate. The festival of chocolate eating. In this week there will be variety of chocolate to be purchased.
However, I usually will not buy the chocolate before or during the Easter. I will only buy it a week after the celebration. This is the time where all the store will do major clear out of their stocks( damn it, i simply love it). This is the only thing i love about Easter.
This is a must during Easter! Easter egg!
Easter Bunny Choc. Another a great product during Easter. I still dont understand why they use bunny.
What is the relation with Jesus Christ ( Peace be upon Him)
But i believe it is just to attract the kids. =)
Oh Yeah.. Next week gonna be a week full of chocolate!!!!!!
